To provide all manufacturing areas with the Quality Assurance technical support needed to enhance continuous improvement of, or relating to, detail part quality and customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in quality planning and customer requirement evaluations.
- Assist with review of new products for quality requirements and inspection needs.
- Work in conjunction with Inspectors and Technicians to verify quality requirements are met and maintained.
- Provide technical support for the inspection department and production personnel.
- Work as liaison between production and suppliers on quality issues.
- To provide metrology support and assistance to manufacturing and engineering as required.
- Participate in PPAP submittals.
- Participate as required in APQP and FMEA processes.
- Accurately operate standard measuring equipment.
- Perform first article inspections.
- Perform capability studies.
- Perform Gage R&R studies.
- Ability to coach/train in all aspects of Final Audit.
- Review and maintain the History Records for all components.
- Generate and close out Nonconformance Reports.
- Comply with all work instructions including those pertaining to safety, health, quality, and the clients Quality Management System.
- Create work instructions regarding process control and final part audit, and assist personnel in implementation and application of them.
- Generate and release Certification of Compliance for finished product as specified by our customers.
- Review and supply inspection data using applicable software, and/or forms such as Excel, Minitab, etc.
- Maintain satellite documentation books with current revisions of management system documents.
- Participate in Cross functional teams as needed.
